Careers in Healthcare
Interested in medicine or health science but not exactly sure what career is right for you? The career oportunities are limitless for those students who enjoy working with people and are good with technology. In this program, students learn basic vital signs, anatomy and physiology, and medical terminology. They also learn about electronic medical records, insurance, billing and information privacy. Qualified individuals may particiate in off-site internships in hosptials, clinics and other medical providers. Great entry point for junior students interested in our Dental, Pre-Nursing or Pre-Physical Therapy programs as seniors.

Pre-requisites: Junior/Senior Standing. Must be able to provide own transportation to internship sites. Students wishing to return to other programs need to earn at least a B and have an instructor recommendation.
Sessions offered: AM 8:00 to 10:30 M-F, PM 11:30 to 2:00 M-F
Length of program: 1 year
Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English 1 or 2, .5 Health, also counts for Computer Applications for Kennewick School District
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per year
College credits available: 5
