Auto Body Technology
This program provides training in auto body work using a combination of textbook assignments, lecture, lab demonstrations, and one-on-one assistance. The ABT program focuses on safety, tool identification and proper use, vehicle construction, minor body repair, sanding, painting components and techniques, estimating damaged vehicles, welding and other operations related to vehicle repair. ABT students develop the necessary technical skills, knowledge, and attitude to be successful in the industry and continued education. The program includes use of I-CAR professional training materials to meet National Automotive Technical Education Foundation (NATEF) requirements and standards, and earn related certifications.

Progress towards Associates of Applied Science Degree in Auto Body Technology
Pre-Requites: Junior/Senior Standing, returning students must have a B or better their 1st year and instructor approval
Sessions Offered: AM Session is 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. PM Session is 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Length of Program: 1 to 2 years

Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English 1 or 2
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per Year
