Computer Science/Cyber Security
This program is designed to prepare students for a career in the fast growing, high paying Cyber Security industry. Students gain knowledge and experience in computer hardware, networking, IT security and Linux. Successful students are prepared to enter the industry as an entry-level IT security administrator. The program utilizes up-to-date, cutting edge web-based curriculum available 24/7, allowing students to advance at their own pace, along with classroom instruction and hands-on labs. The program prepares students for the following industry recognized certifications: CompTIA's A+, Network+ and Security+
- Systems Engineer
- Intelligence Analyst
- Network Security Consultant
- Software Developer
Certification Opportunities: CompTIA's A+, Network +, Security +, Linux
Pre-Requites: Junior/Senior Standing. Returning students must have a B or better their 1st year and instructor approval.
Sessions Offered: AM Session is 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. PM Session is 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Length of Program: 1 to 2 years
Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English 1 or 2, 1.0 Math Analysis
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per Year
College Credits Available: 10
