Early Childhood Education
The Early Childhood Education program teaches students about working with young children. The program covers the developmental stages of preschool-aged children and how to create engaging lessons. The Tri-Tech Preschool is the only laboratory preschool in the Tri-Cities. Students gain hands-on experience with preschoolers in individual and group settings. Students can earn college credits towards Early Childhood degree at Columbia Basin College.

Certification Opportunities: Progress towards Associates of Applied Arts and Science at CBC in Early Childhood Education / STARS Certification
Pre-requisites: Junior/Senior standing and successful screening by the Washington State Patrol. Returning students must have a B or better their first year and instructor approval
Sessions offered: AM Session is 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. PM Session is 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Length of program: 1-2 years

Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English 1 or 2
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per year
College credits available: 26 college credits
