About Digital Arts & Filmmaking
This hands-on program is perfect for creative students who enjoy bringing ideas to life. Students explore exciting careers in digital media like graphic design, social media and film production. Use professional grade equipment to design and create your own graphics and films while learning key skills like cinematography, graphic design and storytelling. You’ll also discover how digital media is used in business and marketing. Students who qualify may get the chance to job shadow or intern with local companies. This program is a great way to express your creativity, develop ideas and bring them to life through design and film.
For Grades: 11-12
Course Length: 1 or 2 years
Credit: .5 Technical English, .5 English, 1.0 Visual Art, 1.0 Occupational Elective
Prerequisite: None
Location: Tri-Tech Skills Center
Students Will Learn:
- Plan, produce, film, edit and film projects.
- Learn and practice cinematography skills.
- Master visual composition and storytelling.
- Work individually and in teams to produce a variety of graphics and video projects.
- Use industry equipment including Adobe Creative Suite, Mac Computers, 4k cameras, lighting, audio and green screen studio.
