About Construction Trades
If you like to build things, the Construction Trades program may be right for you. Be part of the construction process at a residential worksite for Habitat for Humanity. The program provides a foundation in basic residential and commercial construction while preparing you for a successful career as a skilled craftsperson, construction manager, architect or engineer.
- For Grades: 11-12
- Course Length: 1 or 2 years
- Credit: .5 Technical English, 1.0 Math (Geometry),
- Prerequisite: Non
- Location: Tri-Tech Skills Center and off-site construction locations
Students Will Learn:
- Worksite safety.
- Safely use hand and power tools.
- Read blueprints and understand building codes.
- Work independently and in teams in all aspects of construction including framing, roofing, concrete, plumbing and wiring.
