About Pre-Physical Therapy
The Pre-Physical Therapy course is an excellent starting point for students interested in careers in ultrasound, radiology, physical therapy, occupational therapy, respiratory therapy and other exciting healthcare fields. Students gain a strong foundation in medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, and Kinesio Taping®, while developing a variety of hands-on clinical skills that build confidence and real-world experience. Internship opportunities are available for qualified students, providing valuable exposure to professional healthcare settings.
For Grades: 11-12
Course Length: 1 or 2 years
Credit: .5 Technical English, 1.0 Fitness, 1.0 Lab Science, .5 Health (Year-long course must be completed)

Location: Tri-Tech Skills Center
Students Will Learn:
- Hands-on medical skills, taping techniques, patient safety, hands-on therapy, stretching, exercises and therapeutic equipment use.
- Anatomy and physiology, medical terminology.
