If you are smart and hardworking, can you expect to succeed? You may have the best and brightest ideas, but if you are unable to convey them no one will ever know. In this program you will hone your communication skills every day. You will demonstrate your skills by running 88.1, a student-operated radio station. You will learn to speak and present to small and large groups, record music, produce and record announcements and gain experience in the music entertainment industry. Students have the opportunity to participate in job shadow and internships through out the year.

Certification Opportunities: Progress towards Radio Broadcasting Certificate
Pre-requisites: Junior/senior standing. Returning students must have a B or better their first year and instructor approval.
Sessions offered: AM Session – 8 to 10:30 a.m. Monday through Friday. PM Session – 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Length of program: 1-2 years
Equivalency Credits: 0.5 Technical English 1 or 2, 0.5 English, 1.0 Visual Art
Occupational/Elective Credits: 3 per year
